the first week was brutal out here. brian jumped right into the swing of things with work the next morning and with a full week ahead of him he had no time to be sluggish. the time difference is 10 hours so it took me about a week to get use to things, this includes waking up at 4am and wanting to sleep at 6pm. thank god for espresso! brian found us a wonderful apartment in the Pearl, it is Doha's first man made island, filled with high rise apartments, restaurants, luxury shops (vera wang, McQueen, Missoni, Armani, etc...) and a Ferrari dealer. here are a few pictures of our place before:

most of the furniture is the same in the apartment but we have purchased several items to make it feel like home. stay tune for the "after" pictures.
